Construction
This Weber Smokey Mountain Cooker is made of porcelain-enameled premium-grade steel, and comes with two, heavy, nickel-plated cooking grates that measure 18-1/2 inches in diameter. Meats are kept moist and juicy by steam from a porcelain-enameled steel water pan. The bowl and lid comes with individual no-rust aluminum vents which offer optimal air-flow control for tender meats and longer-burning charcoal. The Weber Smokey Mountain cooker also comes equipped with a no-rust aluminum fuel door.
The lid comes equipped with a heat-resistant glass-reinforced nylon handle which stays cool to the touch. A thermometer built into the lid makes it easy to check internal temperatures.
The door comes spring loaded and includes a lever type handle, and at the bottom of this unit is an ash catch pan.
